trenta.

I love Starbucks coffee as much as the next girl - and am only slightly addicted to the pumpkin spice latte and love indulging in a Christmastime treat. In the summer, blended lemonades are this girl's best friend.

By now, you've probably heard that Starbucks will be releasing the Trenta cup, which is seven ounces larger than the Venti cup (the current largest size) and can hold the same amount of liquid as a 750 mL bottle of wine. However, you won't be able to get everything in the super-sized cups when they are released this May. Trenta is reserved for iced coffee, tea and lemonade drinks.

I suppose this is somewhat better? But in a growing world (population, and sadly, waistline-wise), things are going to continue to change like this. I support Michelle Obama in working to combat childhood obesity, and with how cool it is for tweens and teens to drink drinks like their favorite stars (who hasn't seen a picture of Lindsay Lohan trotting a huge white Starbucks cup). I was one of those kids, and I lived in California - where frankly, your image is everything.

After a little research, I found a great guide on the Starbucks website of 20 drinks that are 200 calories or less. Since ingesting nearly half of your day's calories in one drink is probably not preferable for all, this is a great way to figure out what you can still drink and not worry about being in a coffee coma and having to run to the loo all the time.

What do you think? Should we be so concerned about this?
