click.

Isn't it interesting how some things were so normal in our everyday childhood lives are now suddenly new again? Take a disposable camera for example - we took them to summer camp and felt so grown up taking our own pictures by rolling dial for that one click snapshot. Then the age of digital camera dawned upon us, and things are a little different. Thus, when the polaroid camera film was going to be discontinued, suddenly it became "cool" again to have these old fashioned pictures.

Is this really "What goes around comes around" at this point in time?

Needless to say, I might buy one just for kicks and re-live my childhood a little bit.

hockey&heels.

I love hockey and heels. Would it be appropriate to wear girlie shoes to a sports game? A little part of me says "why not?" and the other part is "well, that's stupid".

C'est la vie. I wish these were mine.

happy.

Little ways to be happy.

1. a good conversation
2. a hot shower with fresh towels.
3. watching your favourite movie for the thousandth time, just because.
4. a bottle of wine
5. taking a drive on a pretty road
6. purposely getting lost in a city and finding your way back
7. going to the gym or swimming and feeling so strong after
8. dancing. in your room. out. with friends. wherever
9. running off a dock and into a lake, feeling like you can fly for that moment
10. knowing that you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think

talkpretty.

Finally, finally, finally eight months later, I have gotten my life figured out and passed the grammar test required to move on into the next year of university. It's been a long time since I have felt this accomplished, and the fact that I got an apartment all set up and am going home to some people I really miss and love is icing on the cake right now. I am so happy and elated that I can hardly believe this is real. All that hard work was really worth it. Thank goodness. :)

tweets.

My new obsession du jour is Twitter. I think I "tweet" shall we say, half a dozen times or more during the day, especially now that I have many open days for studying. It is quite addictive, but I have some random people following me and I guess I'm following my own set of interesting fashion-related people, so it's all mutual.

So close to be being finished with school it's not even funny. Three exams, one tomorrow, one the day after, then a week-ish break to study for the last one. Then I get on a plane and blissfully travel back to BC and then work like crazy to make money for next year. I am just praying that I get everything in my room all packed into a suitable number of boxes to store away!

So this is the random post of the day. C'est la vie. I recommend Twitter, it is quite a fun way to distract yourself, not going to lie. :)

bright.

You know what I love about this city? The fact that you can walk down the street wearing something completely outrageous or even just a little daring for you - and it's totally fine. This is bad, as I have multiple shoegasms over the Neimen Marcus accessories page or Manolo's, I should be studying for my grammar test, which I need to pass in order to go into the next year. No biggie, I just don't feel as motivated this time around to study as hardcore as I usually do because I am making my self pass it. It's going to happen. I want to just soak up everything in this city to carry back with me a for a couple more days.

the shoes.

So after many an episode of Sex and the City drooling over Carrie's shows, I finally decided to get some cardio for the day and set out to find the most perfect pair of black shoes. I am notorious for wearing heels all the time, even just running out to get groceries, but lately my collection has begun to bore me and my favourite Nine West silver plexi-glass heel (not pornstar looking at all I swear, they are beautiful) need a break (although they were perfect for the Britney Spears concert).

But where to start, where to start where to start in downtown Toronto?

Well, first there is the shoe Meeca, Holt Renfrew, where one can wander aimlessly through the gallery of gorgeous Manolos, Jimmy Choos and of course Christian Louboutin shoes. My goal is for my 20th birthday, if I have enought money that is, to own my first pair of Louboutins with the classic red sole and carry that hot pink pink Holts bag proudly back home. If that doesn't work out (which I'm predicting won't, due to things such as rent and school purchases), I'm aiming for 25 to have the shoes. However, inspiration is free, so we shall see.

Long story short, I finally found the perfect black pair of 4 and 1/2 inch black patent leather heels from the most amazing Aldo outlet on sale. Not usually one to frequent Aldo to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend that everyone go to the store on Yonge Street to get cheap and cute shoes (plus after a night out, the best thing about plastic shoes is the ability to clean them up with a couple damp paper towels. Viola!).

I'm still waiting for those Louboutins, but I'm happy now with my same budget. I love this city and everything it has to offer - my newest and favourite boyfriend yet.

PS - I am absolutely dying over these glittered shoes in the top picture. Oh someday...c'est la vie.
