adieu.

Shoot la merde.

Here we are on the evening before I'm having Thanksgiving and in the middle of making pumpkin tarts, I realize that I have forgotten an ingredient.

My father called me today, and I asked him for advice about what wine would go well with turkey dinner.

When did we grow up?

When did this all happen again?

The best (and only) way to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving is surrounded by friends - especially those who are good cooks and are away from home too.

Tomorrow, we cook our first real turkey with all the trimmings for a part of six.

PS the pumpkin tarts turned out fabulously. I'm thankful for modern technology in baking to help me out (and a full spice cupboard).
