chords.

I have a love/hate period with the exam period.

The plus? My program doesn't have any exams. With only electives to worry about, things aren't nearly as stressful (for those of you in intense programs with seven finals and want to hit me with a machete, there were definitely points when we had projects, papers, etc. that were worth large amounts of our final grades - i.e. we have already somewhat done our finals throughout the semester).

The minus? Lots of friends are in those programs that require many, many hours of studying, so the social scene has died down a wee bit. Of course, school is the most important, and the reason why a majority of us are here, so it is completely understandable.

There's that old saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em," - well, when I'm spending time studying for my electives, I need calm, interesting and quiet music to help me engage and shut out the world.

People are always going through my Ipod and commenting on some of my weird artists that I hunt down to choreograph to, and have had several requests to make a list. I try to shuffle the songs throughout my blog music, so you may have heard a few of these before.

Right now I'm loving:

"Biscuits" - Fink
"Possibility" - Lykke Li
"Each Moment New" - Lou Rhodes
"Werewolf" - Cocorosie
"Maybe Not" - Cat Power
"The Blower's Daughter" - Damien Rice
"Crazy (Gnarls Barkley Cover)" - Ray LaMontagne

Enjoy and let me know what you think! Tweet me, comment, etc.
