moment.

There are some magic moments when you go to dance class. After hours and hours of training, running in the gym, and finally just thinking "Whatever, this isn't going to help anyway," you have those nights were you are use so on. You dancers know what I mean - your muscles just all work in the right way, you take everything you teacher says, and finally those examples and analogies they have been making all along finally make so much sense. They work, and you just feel so alive and know how worth it all that work was.

It's a tricky balance with dance and performing. Why is it that we put ourselves through so much technique work and training only to have those few moments of perfection? It's almost indescribable. There is nothing else more organic then discovering the things our bodies and minds can do.

Take that moment, hold it, and try to attach that feeling to other things in life. Sometimes it feels like I'm living in between those moments, bit that's completely fine at this point for me. It keeps me going.

Find your moment. It might be after playing a sport, writing, singing, whatever. It's a quest and takes work, and I'm ready to do it just to enjoy it a second longer.
