So today is Barbie's 50th birthday and a good way to start off the week. What girl doesn't remember loving those dolls and having so many clothes and shoes to dress her up in? Although, someone told the story the other day that Barbie's creator was actually bought by some American hot shot, who then forced his wives (I guess he was a divorcee a couple of times) to get surgery to look like the doll. Tall tale or truth? hmmm.
No matter what the stories are, The Bay in Toronto is alive with music and everything pink in celebration for this day. Half a dozen associates were spread about the store handing out pink Gerber daisies and cards to everyone, and leading people into the all Barbie Signature Shop - appropriately adorned all in pink. There is a heaven.
