These ladies. 

When I was a little girl, I remember my parents getting all dressed up to attend the Black and White Ball in downtown San Francisco. 

My mother appeared in the kitchen (where my brothers and I sat at our high counter munching away on supper) in a floor length gown similar to Blake Lively's above. Whenever I hear the words "black and white" that image of her immediately pops into my head. 

Sometimes, people do get a chance to attend a fancy Cinderella-esque ball.

Take a moment each day if you can to look out the window at the passing world. You never know what treasures you may catch and the beauty that lies on the other side if you don't have a look.
