dreams.

Every season, I definitely feel a shift.

Whether it's physically with a temperature change, emotionally or even work-wise with projects and morphing or wrapping up...things change.

Full disclosure, I found my transition into autumn and the "school year" very difficult this year. I had a wonderful summer playing and working in Vancouver and across B.C. I've expanded my business and am challenging myself to take on things outside of my comfort zone and try new things. Alas, I long for those lazy attitudes and long days by Kitsilano Pool, tank tops and weekends away.

I just updated a couple portfolio pieces, and really stepped back to realize how much has happened - I've done a lot of work in things I really like doing!

This morning, I woke up and really felt the need to say thank you.

Near, far, wherever you are - thank you for the encouragement, support and feedback over the past year. It's helping me live my dream so big!

Happy Saturday.

warm.

Today was wonderful.

I shot a Fall/Winter campaign for a local Vancouver photography business. I can't wait for the images to be released. Stay tuned!

Now, time for a glass of red wine and a warm blanket on this cold evening.

Fall is a'coming.

borders.

I love borders.

August is the border between summer and autumn; it is the most beautiful month I know.

Twilight is the border between day and night, and the shore is the border between sea and land.

The border is longing; when both have fallen in love but still haven't said anything.

The border is to be the way.

It is the way that is the most important thing.

This hit me square between the eyes this AM. Have a wonderful Sunday friends.

maples.

"The time of the falling leaves has come again.

Once more in our morning walk, we tread upon carpets of gold and crimson, of brown and bronze, woven by the winds or the rains out of these delicate textures while we slept."

- John Burroughs, "The Falling Leaves", Under the Maples.

24.

Oh what a week it's been! Between my birthday, dancing, an event and time with family and friends, I've been running a bit fast over the last few days.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to this weekend to rest up and enjoy several Halloween festivities.

Again, thank you to so many people who called, messages or touched base with me during my birthday - what a treat to have people not only from all corners of the country, continent (and world!) taking a moment to send a birthday wish.
