There is only one way to describe this point in the year - stressful. With work piling up, due dates approaching and exams looming in the future, it can really take a toll on your body and mind.

Never fear friends, the end is almost near.

The comforts of home always seem more appealing at this point in the year, and arguably, also in music choices. This little playlist was inspired by some of our classic james that we sometimes forget about (and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album has been my writing soundtrack for the weekend) and our new favourites.

Wishing you the best with getting all your work done. It will all be over soon!

Who doesn't like good covers of songs? The best is when a band or singer can actually take another artist's song and pay tribute to the original sound, but also make it their own.

As a dance teacher and choreographer, I'm always catologuing music in my iTunes, especially covers, to pull out for classes and pieces. The "Bad Romance" cover by Mateo inspired one of my favourite combos that I taught this summer - my students were dying to know who the singer was, it's a gem of a cover.

Here's a few of my favourites I've had stashed away in my computer and am falling in love with all over again. Have a cover you're loving? Comment below this post with the link!

Hope you had a good weekend and all the best into the next week!

As we begin to bid adieu to summer, I'm finding that my soundtrack choices are starting to change as well. I'm lusting for the simple strokes of a guitar covers - warm and familiar notes that remind me of sitting next to the water.

However, there's a newfound need for more post-punk pieces that remind me of autumn, where things are fast, exciting and new. A change of pace is always good, as long as you balance it out with the speed of classics.

Enjoy and happy weekend!

This has been a lovely week - I'm back to my old dancing and yoga self again, and am feeling so centred and grounded in my work, family and friends. Although things are always different when you come home year after year, you adapt, and sometimes these differences are actually more enlightening and better in new ways.

Anyways, enough with that. I'm very excited for this month's playlist, and after a suggestion from a friend, am sharing it in a new way! You should be able to play my picks in the widget below.

Enjoy, and suggestions, comments and likes/dislikes are always welcome!
