There are many components that come into making a workspace comfortable. For me, music plays into the equation as much as a comfortable chair and good desk do.

Here are a few of the tunes I've been working to over the last few weeks - lots of light trance and mellow beats, singer-songwriters and what's a good playlist without a little Marley in the mix?

Music can get you through anything. I can't tell you the number of parties where the atmosphere has been made (or destroyed) by the playlist.

The past couple of weeks have been fairly wild for me - between super early mornings at the TV station, running to the pool to teach fitness classes and rehearsal for dance gigs, the TTC, my iPod and I have been spending a lot of quality time together.

With a every new year, or even every new month, it's fun to mix some fresh tunes into your tried and true "commute" playlist. I sent out a call on Twitter  for favourite songs, and here are a few that made my ears tip up.

The weather has been absolutely stunning in Toronto for the past few days.

So to celebrate, all the Torontonians (homegrown and newly-minted) are shedding those heavy coats and clothes and strolling around in the sun.

What's better than sitting on a blanket with a iced coffee, book and new playlist? (Yes, it's March. I may have done one, two or three of things yesterday as well...)

PS I just realized my next playlist will by my 24th, which means I've been blogging seriously for over two years! Holy smokes time flies when you're having fun.

I currently cannot turn my iTunes, Stereomood and Sirus FM stations off right now. All day, every day, I have to have something playing - I never would have called myself "music-obsessed", but right now I'm addicted.
